The story of Han So Hee‘s childhood is garnering public attention as the controversy over her mother’s debt recently flared up.

On the 7th, YouTuber and former reporter Lee Jin Ho uploaded a video titled, ‘Was she raised by her grandmother? Explanations, misunderstandings, and truths about Han So Hee.’

Lee Jin Ho explained that some viewers raised questions against the actress’ explanations. They were suspicious of how Mrs. Shin, her mother, was able to create the bank account under Han So Hee’s name when they were not in contact with each other. Lee Jin Ho stated that Han So Hee’s explanations were true. He said, “Han So Hee lived with her mother after her parents got divorced. However, her mother did not take care of her and the actress spent her childhood with her grandmother.” Later on, Han So Hee visited Ulsan, where her mother was living, but still lived separately. This was when Mrs. Shin opened a bank account under her daughter’s name and caused the problems.

It has been reported that the actress had paid off her mother’s debts while working as a part-time worker in Seoul. Lee Jin Ho added, “Han So Hee worked at a pub from 6 PM to 6 AM for six days a week. She sent all her money to pay off her mother’s debt, but in return, she learned that there were more debts to pay off than she could bear to think about. Eventually, when everything just got out of control after her debut, she has drawn a clear line with her mother since then.”
