Fan Bingbing Makes Cameo Appearance in Kang Ha Neul’s New JTBC Drama ‘Insider’

Fan Bingbing was confirmed to have made a cameo appearance in JTBC’s Insider.

On Monday, JTBC told OSEN, “It’s true that Fan Bingbing makes a special appearance in our drama Insider. The filming has already been completed.” They added, “We ask for your understanding that we can’t give any specific details on the character she plays for spoiler issues.”

Fan Bingbing debuted in the 1998 Chinese TV series My Fair Princess and made her breakthrough with the film Cell Phone (2003), China’s highest-grossing film of the year. Then later in her career, the actress made it into Hollywood with the superhero movie X-Men: Days of Future Past.

However, Fan Bingbing disappeared in 2018 for some time during an investigation into her tax evasion by the Chinese authorities. Then a few months later, she broke the silence by posting an apology on social media. Earlier this year, the actress made her grand comeback with Simon Kinberg’s movie The 355.

Meanwhile, Insider is an action-suspense drama that tells the story of a judicial trainee named Kim Yohan. When he falls into the bottomless pit while working undercover, he starts a battle to win the fate that was stolen from him. Kang Ha Neul and Lee Yoo Young star in the series.
