JYP Entertainment made an announcement revealing that DAY6’s Wonpil has tested positive for COVID19.
The agency explained that the idol has received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine last year. As one of his staff members tested positive on the 7th, Wonpil immediately got a PCR test and tested positive later that day.
The label explained, “Wonpil currently has no particular symptoms. After receiving his PCR test on February 7th, he has gone into self-quarantine. He will continue to take proper measures following the regulation of the health authorities.”
They added, “Wonpil’s entire schedule has been canceled or postponed. We apologize for causing concerns to all fans who have been waiting for his new single.”
The singer had made his solo debut with “Pilmography” on February 7th 6 PM KST, but his promotional activities were put on hold due to COVID-19.
