DAY6’s Wonpil is making his solo debut with Pilmography.
On the 7th, Wonpil held an online press conference for his first-ever solo full album Pilmography. The singer will be making his solo debut 5 years and 6 months after his debut as a DAY6 member.
“I don’t think of this as my own album. There was DAY6 because of the members and DAY6’s music became my favorite music. I made this album with a spoonful of music influenced by that music,” Wonpil shared, “I tried to think about what color (of music) suits me and work on that.”
The artist then showed his love for his team. “When I was promoting as DAY6, I had my members to lean on. But it’s a pity that I can’t do that when I promote as a solo artist. I didn’t know it, but it was truly a happy time to just laugh and joke about all kinds of things while waiting and preparing,” he continued. “Since Young K has already released a solo album, he knew the hardships well enough. So he wanted to help me. He is the most precious friend and partner.”
Meanwhile, Wonpil will drop his solo debut album Pilmography at 6 PM KST today. However, his promotion has been postponed as one of his staff was confirmed with COVID-19.
