Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho will team up with Hollywood star Robert Pattinson for his new film.

According to multiple media outlets on January 19th (U.S. Time), Robert Pattinson is currently in talks to star in Bong Joon Ho’s new yet to be titled film.

Reports indicate that the Parasite director is in talks to write and direct his new film based on Edward Ashton’s upcoming novel Mickey7 for Warners Bros. Mickey7 is scheduled to be published in the first half of 2022 in the United States. While the film will be inspired by the novel, many say that according to Bong’s past experiences with adaptations, his version will eventually be different from the novel’s.

The novel’s story follows a clone named Mickey7, who is sent on a mission to colonize the ice world called Niflheim. It has been reported that the Oscar winner received an unpublished copy from the author himself and was intrigued by it. Reports say that Bong Joon Ho and his production crew had a meeting with Robert Pattinson shortly after reading the copy of Edward Ashton’s new novel.

The production date of Bong Joon Ho’s new movie has not been decided yet.
