MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Tomorrow (literal title) has shared a glimpse of its first table read.
Tomorrow is a fantasy drama about grim reapers. While the grim reapers are supposed to guide the dead, they are now trying to save people who want to kill themselves. Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series adaptation is written by Park Ran, Park Ja Kyung, and Kim Yoo Jin. It will be a co-production between New Trial director Kim Tae Yoon and tvN’s Mouse showrunner Sung Chi Wook.
The table read was attended by the two directors and the cast members including Kim Hee Sun (who will be playing Goo Ryeon), Rowoon (Choi Joon Woong), Lee Soo Hyuk (Park Joong Gil), and Yoon Ji On (Im Ryung Goo).
The production crew shared, “From the first table read, the talent and chemistry of the cast members exceeded our expectations. We believe that the heartwarming story of the grim reapers will be humorous and touching. Please stay tuned for the upcoming drama.”
Meanwhile, MBC’s Tomorrow is slated to premiere in the first half of 2022, following Tracer.
