Former DAY6 member Jae came heavily under fire for calling his former labelmate Jamie a “thot.” The singer wrote an apology to the singer via Twitter, but criticisms continued.
On the 9th, he officially apologized for the rude remarks against Jamie and tagged Jamie’s Twitter account. Jae acknowledged that the comment had been in poor taste. He then explained that he wasn’t “trying to take a slight at Jamie” and that he had used the word “baddie” as a synonym of the word “baddie.” But he recognized that this was “no way an excuse for my comment.”

The controversy sparked when Jae mentioned Jamie during his recent live broadcast. “Now that I’m not in K-pop anymore, I can say this. Why is Jamie trying to be a thot?” he said, then laughed with his friends.
Soon, Jamie expressed her displeasure and disappointment in now-deleted tweets (“A what?” “Just remember how much I cared about you even before you were in your last company and how many times (I asked) if you were alright. I prayed for you. Your questions were like mine. It’s really sad”). The only tweets she wrote about the issues now are the following.
