In the sixteenth episode of KBS’ The King’s Affection, Lee Hwi (Park Eun Bin) runs into an unexpected problem as she nears the discovery of her grandfather’s dark secret.
Hwi orders Yoon Hyeong Seol to investigate her grandfather’s shady weapons trade. However, she soon receives a torn ledger and hears the news of Yoon’s death.
As her plans fail, Hwi faces another crisis when Prince Wonsan finds out the secret of her birth. However, Hwi no longer has to go through this alone. She now has Eunuch Hong and Court Lady Kim on her side, including her brother Lee Hyun (Nam Yoon Soo) and her lover Jung Ji Woon (Rowoon).
In addition, Jung Seok Jo (Bae Soo Bin) came to save Hwi from Prince Changun’s forces when the prince tried to reveal her identity.
Meanwhile, the sixteenth episode of The King’s Affection recorded a nationwide viewer rating of 8.8 percent, a slight drop from its previous episode.
