Kim Seon Ho is reviewing his big-screen debut with Sad Tropics (literal title).
According to Starnews, Kim was offered a lead role in the new movie, Sad Tropics. In response, his agency Salt Entertainment stated, “The actor is positively reviewing the offer.”
The movie, Sad Tropics, tells the story of an aspiring professional boxer who was born between a Korean father and a Filipino mother. When he comes to Korea to find his father, who abandoned him, he ends up getting mixed up with a bad crowd.
The film will be a new project by The Witch : Part 1. The Subversion director Park Hoon Jung. N this upcoming film, two main characters will lead the plot, and Kim could be playing one of them.
Kim is currently starring in tvN drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, which has already gained huge popularity. Should he join Sad Tropics, Kim will be making his very first big-screen debut with this film. After finishing the drama around October or November, he will likely start filming his new movie.
Meanwhile, director Park will recruit another actor for the remaining lead role through an audition. Once the cast lineup is finalized, the filming will begin at the end of November.
