Jin Ki Joo may make her drama come back with Showtime Begins! (literal title).
According to JTBC News, Jin Ki Joo was recently cast to play the female lead in the new TV series Showtime Begins!. In response, the actress’s agency shared that Jin is positively reviewing the offer.
If she joins the project, she’ll be playing Go Seul Hye, a passionate police officer who dreams of becoming a detective. Keeping a mysterious secret, she “tames” the reckless magician Cha Cha Woong.
Showtime Begins! is an oriental fantasy rom-com and a story like Bad Guys, starring ghosts. The series follows Cha Cha Woong, a famous magician who knows how to handle ghosts, and a hot-blooded female police officer born with supernatural power. Earlier, Park Hae Jin has confirmed to play Cha Cha Woong.
The unique storytelling that involves a magician, ghosts, and a police officer is already raising expectations.
Meanwhile, Strong Girl Bong-soon and I’m Sorry, I Love You director Lee Hyung Min helms the production and Mystic Pop-Up Bar writer Ha Yoon Ah pens the script. Recently programmed as the new MBC series, Showtime Begins! will begin its filming in September.
