Ahn Hyo Seop has officially joined the production of The Office Blind Date (literal title).
On the 10th, Kakao Entertainment announced that they had cast Ahn to play Kang Tae Moo, the male lead of the new romance series The Office Blind Date. The filming will start in the latter half of this year, and the project will premiere in the first half of 2022 as SBS series. Wok of Love and Suspicious Partner director Park Sun Ho will helm the production.
The Office Blind Date revolves around the CEO and his employee who met on a blind date under their false identity. The original web novel was published in 2017, and the webtoon version was released the following year. With their hot popularity, the two versions have garnered 320 million cumulative views worldwide.
And today, Ahn has hopped on the project to play Kang Tae Moo, an heir to a conglomerate. Kang Tae Moo is the guy who has it all – handsome looks, sexy charm, smart brain, wealth, and brilliant business mind. But he is incapable of tolerating lies and is a severe workaholic, which makes him a bit crankier and grumpier than other heirs. Ahn will breathe life into Kang, who seems impeccably perfect but is inexperienced in love because of his past trauma.
