ENHYPEN entered the Billboard 200 with their latest smash BORDER: CARNIVAL. And this is by far the best record of a K-pop album released this year.
According to Billboard on the 24th, ENHYPEN’s 2nd mini-album, BORDER: CARNIVAL, ranked 18th on the Billboard 200 on their latest chart. The group entered the Billboard 200 in half a year after their debut, with the new smash released on April 26th. Of all the groups that debuted this year, ENHYPEN is the only rookie group that entered the chart so far.
The highest-ranking recorded by a K-pop artist this year is the 7th place made by BTS’s BE. This makes ENHYPEN the second-highest ranking on Billboard 200 following BTS. Considering that BE was released last year, BORDER: CARNIVAL is the best K-pop album released this year.
ENHYPEN was also nominated in four categories on the Billboard chart on May 8th. That is to say, BORDER: CARNIVAL and its title track “Drunk-Dazed” ranked 9th on World Album, 15th on Heatseekers Albums, 3rd on World Digital Song Sales Chart, and 166th on Global 200 Chart.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN unveiled the music video for “FEVER” on the 20th and began the full-scale promotions. The MV has surpassed 10 million views at around May 24th at 11:14 AM KST.
