Agent Kim Reactivated has taken off both at home and abroad.
The SBS Friday-Saturday drama, which broke past 15% in ratings after just two episodes, has also won over global viewers on Netflix, climbing to No. 3 worldwide.
According to global OTT ranking site FlixPatrol on June 29th, Agent Kim Reactivated earned 674 points and ranked third in Netflix’s TV show category. The series also took the No. 1 spot in eight countries, including Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and Singapore.
Agent Kim Reactivated is a revenge action drama about the “most ordinary” father who becomes the “most dangerous” man in the world to get back his only daughter. The series drew attention even before its premiere as So Ji Sub’s return to television.
After premiering to a 9.5% rating, the series surged to 15.7% nationwide and 15.9% in the Seoul metropolitan area by its second episode, drawing explosive interest. The figure marks the highest rating for an SBS drama in 2026 and makes it the first drama across all channels in five years, since The Penthouse 3 in 2021, to pass 15% in just two episodes.
So Ji Sub’s high-powered action as a father fighting desperately to find his daughter is being cited as one of the key reasons behind the show’s popularity.
Meanwhile, the Netflix series Teach You a Lesson, starring Kim Mu Yeol, continued its successful run after spending three straight weeks at No. 1 globally. It ranked sixth in the TV show category.
