BTOB’s former member Jung Il Hoon will stand trial for charges of drug use, including marijuana.
According to a legal insider on the 22nd, they had the first administrative hearing of Jung Il Hoon at the Seoul Central District Court this morning.
The 22nd Criminal Division will conduct his hearing as the singer faced charges of violating the narcotics control act. And as a social service agent, Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office is on the investigation after the police handed the case over to them. Seoul Central District Court will also have his trial.
Jung Il Hoon previously submitted two letters of apology to the court on the 15th and expressed his remorse. Of the seven accomplices, one faced charges of aiding and abetting.
According to a police investigation, Jung Il Hoon purchased the drugs from third parties and used them regularly. He has been smoking marijuana with his acquaintances since four to five years ago, and traces of the drugs have been detected from his hair. He reportedly used cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) to purchase marijuana.
