BTS’s member V has gifted a song for fans who have hard times going to bed. At around 4 AM KST on the 21st, he uploaded a 1-minute 48-second long track on BTS’s official social media. Titled ‘sleep,’ it was an unreleased song that V wrote and composed by himself.
The calm and soft voice of V flows along with the melodies of piano and strings. And the lyrics comfort fans as it captures the serenity and silence of the moment. V’s gentle whispers, most importantly, on top of the soft melodies and the rustling sounds, make the song a perfect lullaby.

The press has reported about the song V dropped in the early morning. Music magazine NME mentioned his mixtape, saying that ‘sleep’ has tranquil melodies and lyrics about a peaceful night of sleep. Elite Daily posted an article with the headline saying, “BTS’ V’s “Sleep” Lyrics In English Will Literally Rock ARMYs To Sleep.” They wrote, “You need to see BTS’ V’s “Sleep” lyrics in English because they’re beautiful. As you can expect, they’re the type of lyrics that will instantly put you in a good mood.”
Billboard also described his song as “the K-pop superstar singing in a near-whisper over the piano, showing off the intimate side of his personality.” Teen Vogue, the UK’s METRO, NYLON Magazine, CNNNEWS18, LOS40, and many other media outlets have also praised V for his sentimental snippet of the song.
Meanwhile, surprised fans cheered for the unexpected video on BTS’s Twitter account. After V’s song was uploaded, ‘KIM TAEHYUNG’ trended worldwide on the 5th and ‘KTH1′ on the 10th.
