TREASURE has officially debuted in Japan, finally ready to dominate the global market.

According to YG Entertainment, the group released their first Japanese Full-Length Album, THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT, on the 31st. This album reached the top of Line Music’s Top 100 Album as soon as it came out. It also rose to the higher ranks of iTunes Japan and Rakuten Music charts.

The band’s new album includes a total of 13 songs, with 12 Japanese versions of their Korean hit songs and the soundtrack of Black Clover, “BEAUTIFUL.” Nothing less than a storm of success is expected from TREASURE. They had already caught the hearts of Japanese fans even without any local activities. Pre-released tracks “BOY,” “I LOVE YOU,” “MMM,” and “MY TREASURE” all landed on No. 1 on Japan’s major music charts.

As of 7 AM KST of the 31st, the group’s signature songs “Going Crazy” and “I LOVE YOU” are peaking through Line Music and Rakuten Music charts. Amongst their million-selling series, THE FIRST STEP, a considerable portion of their sales were from Japanese fans. Hence, this Japanese album is expected to be a mega-hit amongst local fans.

Members of the group stated through their agency, “Thanks to our Treasure Makers (fandom name) whom we are always thankful for and love, we were able to release a Japanese album. We’ll make sure to come out with great music. It’s disappointing that we can’t meet our fans right now, but we hope to greet them soon.”

TREASURE recently gained attention for announcing to communicate with fans through the global fan community, Weverse. After a successful debut in Korea, their future careers are anticipated.
