Yoo Jae Suk is Now Planning to Put Together a Male Vocal Group?

Yoo Jae Suk will be directing an all-male group.

On the 86th episode of MBC’s Hangout With Yoo, a brand new project for ‘MSG Wannabe’ started. It is a play on the name of SG Wannabe, a South Korean vocal trio.

The show’s host introduced himself as Yoo Ya Ho, Jimmy Yoo’s twin brother. Unlike the vibrant Refund Sisters, he was determined to create a team with vocals and singing skills. So began the ‘MSG Wannabe’ project.

To make decisions entirely based on their skills, Yoo Jae Suk carried out a blind audition. Hence, participants used anonymous names while showing off their vocals. Despite doing so, Yoo Jae Suk was able to tell apart Choi Jung Hoon from the band Jannabi and the comedic duo, Psychorus (Yang Se Chan and Hwang Je Sung). The MC then added a condition to the audition. He sternly stated that those who already have a reputation for their skills are not fit for the group.

After the first round of audition, he picked two final contestants to find out Jee Seok Jin and Do Kyung Wan. Whilst the prior passed the second audition, the latter was unable to join the team.
