Amid the continued bullying scandal within April, the production team of the musical movie K-School confirmed that Yena will not be exiting the production.

On March 5, K-School staff told a media outlet, “Yena will appear on K-School without dropping out. We are aware of the April scandal, but Yena (we met at the filming set) was innocent and logical.”

“We’ve been watching Yena since we cast her in June last year, and she has been an easy-going girl who gets along well with actors and staff. She always thinks about others first,” he continued. “We will be preparing for the release as planned.”

Earlier, April members have been fingered as bullies when former member Hyunjoo’s younger brother exposed what his sister had to endure when she was still in April. Soon, DSP Media refuted the claims and heralded a stern legal action, but the public anger towards April only grew.

Meanwhile, K-School revolves around an elite fashion school where students work hard to achieve their dreams, finding both love and friendship on the way. Yena will be playing Amy, the daughter of the school’s chairman.
