In the 18th episode of tvN’s weekend drama Mr.Queen, which aired on Feb 7, Kim So Yong (Shin Hye Sun) and King Cheoljong (Kim Jung Hyun) were seen in the midst of life-threatening crises. The episode recorded an average of 15.5% viewer ratings and soared up to 18.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area, proving the drama’s unwavering popularity.

The palace was turned upside down at the news of Cheoljong’s death, and Kim So Yong, who sense something off, left the palace to search for her husband. But in the process, she shot an arrow at her cousin Kim Byung In (Na In Woo), turning him into her enemy.

Followed by armed soldiers, Court Lady Choi (Cha Chung Hwa) collapsed after being slain by a soldier, while Hong Yeon (Chae Seo Eun) ran off pretending to be Kim So Yong to save her queen. In the end, Kim So Yong was also captured by Kim Byung In and was hung by the cliff where Cheoljong disappeared, further heightening tension.
