TV personality Shin Dong Yup and actress Kim Yoo Jung are the emcees of the 2020 SBS Drama Awards.
While the ceremony on the 31st is receiving a lot of attention as it is SBS’ 30th Anniversary Special, Shin Dong Yup and Kim Yoo Jung were selected as its hosts.
As a national MC who shared history with SBS, Shin Dong Yup will once again be the host for its 30th Anniversary special. Kim Yoo Jung will also be the MC, after receiving a lot of love for SBS’ Fri-Sat series Backstreet Rookie. Together, they are expected to shine at the ceremony as hosts.
The director of the ceremony asked viewers to anticipate the two’s refreshing synergy. Furthermore, the 2020 SBS Drama Awards plans to carry out the ceremony safely while following the protocols of health authorities. Unlike the usual, actors will wait in their own spaces instead of tables under the stage. They will come out to collect their award once their name is announced by the presenter.
For a safe awarding process, the trophy will be placed on the table so the winner can collect it by themselves. Microphones will be sterilized, and their covers will be replaced between each award, while the hosts will use individual microphones.
The 2020 SBS Drama Awards will be aired on December 31st at 9 p.m. KST.
