The 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards Postponed Due to Re-Surge of COVID-19

The 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards will be postponed until next year due to the third spread of the new coronavirus infection.

On Dec 8, the organizer announced the postponement, saying, “The 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards, which was scheduled to be held on Dec 11, will be postponed till early 2021 due to the rapid re-proliferation of COVID-19.”

“The recent uncontrollable spread of Corona 19 has led to growing social concerns, and we have decided to postpone the award ceremony to prevent further damage and ensure the safety of filmmakers,” they explained. “We ask for your kind understanding, including actors, film officials, media outlets and audiences, and we sincerely hope that the situation will improve as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, the 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards was initially scheduled to be held on Dec 11 at 9 p.m. KST with Kim Hye Soo and Yoo Yeon Seok hosting the event.
