It seems like the entire entertainment industry, especially the drama, has been struck heavy by the COVID-19 pandemic. For almost three days in a row, more and more dramas are halting its production with the cases of confirmed patients.

Today so far, three more dramas announced their suspension in filming: Snowdrop, Mr. Queen and The Penthouse: War in Life.

According to media outlets, Snowdrop, starring Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, halted its filming when a background actor was classified as someone who made close contact with a COVID-19 confirmed patient. As for Mr. Queen and The Penthouse: War in Life, one of the background actors (in each drama) was confirmed with the virus.

Currently, the entire industry was put on alert after a series of confirmed COVID-19 patients were found. Previously, Bossam ” Stealing Fate (Jung Il Woo, Kwon Yuri), Sisyphus: The Myth (Park Shin Hye, Jo Seung Woo), Joseon Exorcist (Jang Dong Yoon, Park Sung Hoon, Kam Woo Sung, Kim Dong Jun) River Where the Moon Rises (Kim So Hyun, Ji Soo) are called off their filming for all reasons related to COVID-19.

Since background actors and staff often participated in various projects simultaneously, there is no estimate as to how many more projects will have to halt their productions.
