After dropping the name of BLACKPINK’s next title song, YG Entertainment suddenly hinted at another comeback, drawing keen attention from music fans.
At noon on Sept. 28 KST, YG Entertainment unveiled a “WHO’S NEXT?” poster, raising the anticipations.
In the poster, only the words “WHO’s NEXT” and the date “Oct. 16” are present without a single mention of the artist. Also, the clever design of the hand-waving alien and UFO on top of the trophy with pink ribbons added to the curiosity.
This summer, BLACKPINK made their grand comeback while the rookie group TREASURE finally released their first album, upping the YG’s pride as one of Korea’s best labels. With this poster, attention is focusing on who will be the next to continue this record-breaking streak.
Earlier, YG announced the comeback of WINNER’s Song Min Ho and Kang Seung Yoon, and AKMU. Expectations are high on who will return to the K-pop scene or if this signals a new project.
