Expectations are mounting over whether we will be able to see Son Ye Jin and Kang Ha Neul on the same project.
On August 25, Son Ye Jin’s agency MSTeam Entertainment and Kang Ha Neul’s agency TH Company said that each actor has been offered a role from the new drama Cut by the Heart (literal title) and are considering it. Son Ye Jin and Kang Ha Neul were offered the roles of Princess Pyeong Kang and On Dal.
Cut by the Heart is a work that re-interprets Princess Pyeong Kang, who is born as a princess of a country, becomes a wife of a fool, and later is cheered by the whole nation, as the “Iron Lady” who cannot take the throne herself, but makes her husband the general and ascends her younger brother to the throne. Also, it is a drama about On Dal’s turbulent life of becoming the hero.
Son Ye Jin received global love with her previous work tvN’s Crash Landing on You, while Kang Ha Neul led the syndrome-like popularity with KBS’s When the Camellia Blooms. Expectations are rising over what they will look like when they play Princess Pyeong Kang and On Dal.
