The BTS members have been reborn as cute characters!
Big Hit Entertainment revealed that they will be launching BTS characters called TinyTAN soon.
With the concept of the BTS members’ second selves reflected onto these characters, TinyTAN will cross across reality through the “Magic Door.” TinyTAN not only represents the unique characteristics of the seven BTS members, but also the positive influence, empathy, and healing delivered by their music and performances.
Recently, TinyTAN received rave responses from fans after appearing in a video called “Magic Door.” The characters transport themselves to cheer up a coffee shop employee who is visibly exhausted. Fans of TinyTAN and BTS noted how cute the characters were and how accurate their features and gestures were to the real BTS members.
Big Hit IP, a subsidiary of Big Hit Entertainment that is in charge of character and merchandise, created TinyTAN with a 50-member R&D team. The team consists of professionals who have experience creating and animating famous characters in both Korea and overseas.
TinyTAN will be shown through various forms, such as figurines, products, media contents, and more. Big Hit’s global fan commerce platform Weverse Shop will launch TinyTAN products and release new animated stories throughout the year. TinyTAN were chosen as the models for P&G Downey Adorable, and will collaborate with other brands �and licensing in the near future.
