Weki Meki Choi Yoojung and Kim Doyeon have been cast as the lead characters of web drama Melo, Not Solo (direct translation).
According to XportsNews on July 6th, Yoojung and Doyeon’s appearance as leads in the new drama has been confirmed.
Melo, Not Solo follows two friends who attended the same all-girls middle school, the same all-girls high school, the same all-girls college together. When the two friends become roommates with three other boys, they must handle a romance that unfolds within. The long time friends’ first romance and perfect chemistry will create a fresh and fun plot.
Yoojung and Doyeon have been friends since they were trainees at Fantagio and appeared on Mnet’s Produce 101 together, eventually debuting in project group I.O.I. There is building expectation for the chemistry between the two actors, who are actually friends in real life. Fans have labeled the pair “dodaeng” couple.
Melo, Not Solo, a web drama produced by WHYNOT Media, will be aired in the second half of the year.
