The Baeksang Arts Awards performances made everyone cry again.

The 56th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony was held on June 5 KST. With the concerns over the spread of coronavirus, the ceremony was held without any audience.

At the end of the first part, the child actors got on stage for the final performance.

On the black background, the phrase “I miss the obvious” appeared in white letters. Then, child actors, including Kim Kang Hoon from When the Camellia Blooms, Kim Gyu Ri from Hotel del Luna, Jung Hyun Joon from Parasite, Oh Hye Won from Itaewon Class, and Kim Jun from Hospital Playlist, got on stage one by one.

The five child actors sang carefully in a clear, beautiful harmony. The song they sang was Lee Juck’s “The Things We Took For Granted.” The song presents the message of keep on dreaming even during difficult situations.

Amid the current slump in popular culture, including movies, dramas, and theaters, due to the aftermath of COVID-19, the song sang by child actors sent the message of hope. Especially, the lyrics “We found out how precious the ordinary days we lived in are” brought everyone to tears.

As the performance touched many people, several actors were seen shedding tears, including Kim Hee Ae, Jo Jung Suk, and Jeon Mi Do. Son Ye Jin, Park Seo Joon, and Yoo Jae Suk were seen smiling as they were impressed with their passionate performance and heartfelt lyrics.

In particular, Kim Jun, who appeared in Hospital Playlist as Jo Jung Suk’s son, decorated the finale. And Jo Jung Suk was seen smiling brightly and giving a warm round of applause, drawing attention.
