Actor Jang Ki Yong will present rough and lonely charms that he has never shown in KBS 2TV’s new Monday-Tuesday drama Born Again.
Born Again is a reincarnation mystery melodrama that depicts the fate and resurrection of three men and women intertwined in two lives. Previously, Jang Ki Yong (Cong Ji Cheol and Chun Jong Beom), Jin Se Yeon (Jung Ha Eun and Jung Sa Bin) and Lee Soo Hyuk (Cha Hyung Bin and Kim Soo Hyuk) have already confirmed their appearances.
Jang plays the role of Gong Ji Cheol in the 1980s and Chun Jong Beom in the modern world. With the attention drawing as this is the first time the actor is playing the double role, the first still photos of Gong Ju Cheol were first to be released.
In the photo, Gong Ji Cheol, who is refusing the same fate as his evil father, is seen standing alone in the dark. Also, the wound under his left eye only raises the question of what his life looked like in the 1980s.
On the other hand, the photo where he is holding a book at a bookstore called “The Old Future,” shows off a different atmosphere. Expectations are rising as the question of his story and his relationship with the store’s owner, Jung Ha Eun (Jin Se Yeon) continues.
“You’ll be able to see a whole new side of Jang Ki Yong. He is doing such a great job expressing a subtle atmosphere of Gong Ji Cheol,” the production team commented. “Please look forward to the story of Gong Ji Cheol and the transformation of Jang Ki Yong.”
Meanwhile, Born Again is scheduled to premiere in April.
