Jun Ji Hyun in Talks to Star in New Drama by ‘Signal’ Writer

Actor Jun Ji Hyun is considering to star in Kim Eun Hee’s new drama Jiri Mountain (working title).

An official from Culture Depot, Jun Ji Hyun’s agency, told News1 on March 3 that “Jun Ji Hyun is considering to appear in Kim Eun Hee’s upcoming drama ‘Jiri Mountain.’ Of course, nothing is set in stone yet.”

Not much information has been revealed about Kim Eun Hee’s new drama Jiri Mountain, except for the fact that the setting is based on Jiri Mountain.

Writer Kim Eun Hee has established herself as a star writer, showing continuous success with her previous works of Sign, Ghost, Signal and Kingdom series.

Meanwhile. Jun Ji Hyun made her first drama appearance in 13 years with You Who Came from the Stars aired back in 2013, creating a “Cheon Song Yi Syndrome.” The following year, she won the Grand Prize for TV at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Best Actor award at 2014 SBS Acting Award. She is currently taking a break after The Legend of the Blue Sea.
