Lee Min Ho contributed KRW 300 million in donations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus).

On March 2, Lee’s agency MYM Entertainment (shortened to MYM below) announced that the actor and the company co-delivered the donations related to COVID-19 to the eight charities including the Community Chest of Korea (also known as The Fruit of Love), Good Neighbors, Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief, Save the Children and ChildFund Korea (also known as Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation).

It continuously explained about the donations, saying, “it’s more special than his previous contributions ever because Lee Min Ho did it through PROMIZ, a donation platform he opened in 2014, not in personal. A lot of fans voluntarily participated in this gathering of their virtue for co-existence.”

The donations from Lee Min Ho and his companions will be used to purchase personal hygiene products for low-income families and the underprivileged children, all over the country including Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do region, as well as preventive supplies for the medical teams who are struggling with COVID-19. Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho is currently shooting SBS‘s upcoming Friday-Saturday series The King: Eternal Monarch, which has starred him as Lee Gon (the emperor of Korean Empire). The new drama is set to be aired this April.
