The fandom of Song Ga In, a popular rookie on the trot music scene, joined its beloved star to help people who are struggling with COVID-19 (the new Coronavirus).
On Feb. 28, the singer’s official fan cafe delivered KRW 32.44 million in donations related to COVID-19 to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea. Prior to the fandom’s contribution, Song Ga In declared that she would donate all proceeds of “Hwaryu Chunmong”, her own remake of the same-titled classic song, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and overcome the infections.
The profits from the “Hwaryu Chunmong” remake, which was released on the 26th, are currently expected to reach KRW 100 million approximately. Amid those high expectations on the single’s success, both Song and her fandom are receiving praise for making good influences on society.
