Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon’s New Romance Drama Airs Today

Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon‘s heart-warming romance will air on February 24 (local time).

JTBC’s new Monday-Tuesday drama, When the Weather Is Fine, tells the story of Im Eun Seop (Seo Kang Joon), who runs an independent bookstore and Mok Hae Won (Park Min Young), who moves back to Bukhyeon-ri, after getting sick of living in the big city. It is based on a novel of the same title by Lee Do Woo. Han Ji Seung, who directed Alone in Love and Reasonable Love and writer Han Ga Ram, who wrote Memories of Midsummer (literal transition) came together.

Hae Won, played by Park Min Young, is an ordinary character with nothing special, except for the fact that she played the cello when she was young. She took a step forward in society using that skill, but only got hurt by people in return. So, she returns to Bukhyeon-ri, where she lived as a child, with her mind shut tightly.

Seo Kang Joon plays the role of Eun Seop, who delivers warmth little by little to the frozen heart of Hae Won. His daily routine consists of running the Good Night Bookstore in Bukhyeon-ri, drinking coffee as reading good books, and posting on his blog, “Bookstore Diary.” However, his normal daily life becomes more diverse with Hae Won’s return.

According to director Han the drama will deliver comfort and warmth into a suffocating reality. He said, “Maybe things that are close to us is actually the things that we need the most. But we just live on our lives, never noticing them.” Then he added, “I felt sorry for this irony. I want this drama to be that something that delivers the warmth to the lonely hearts.”

When the Weather Is Fine will premiere at 9:30 p.m. on February 24.
