As the city of Daegu is in the midst of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, actor Park Seo Joon has made a big donation of 100 million Won (approximately $82,845.46 USD) to aid the city.
As of February 22nd, the confirmed cases of the virus in Korea has reached over 400 people, with a large number of them being cases from Daegu. The government has even temporarily designated the city as a “special management zone”. Because the city stated that there weren’t enough negative pressure rooms or medical equipment to treat the COVID-19 cases, Park Seo Joon took initiative to donate in hopes of helping as much as he can.
The local Community Chest of Korea branch shared their appreciation towards the actor’s generous donation, and informed everyone that the money would go towards purchasing the devices needed in order to treat patients with the virus.
