After NAVER announced of its suspension of comments section on entertainment news, Girls’ Generation member and an actor Choi Soo Young paid tribute to Sulli, who passed away last October.
Sooyoung posted a screen capture of the news that NAVER, one of the biggest portal site in Korea, will abolish its entertainment news comments section on her Instagram. The article wrote, “After Sulli’s death, malicious comments were noticed as a big social problem. So we have decided to abolish all comments section on entertainment news and related search keywords.”
Previously, NAVER’s service management team announced on its official blog that they are temporarily closing entertainment news comments section and suspend related search keywords.
Sooyoung paid tribute to Sulli, saying, “She lived as a great wave and now became a breakwater.” Sulli and Sooyoung became friends through their agency, SM Entertainment, where Sooyoung debuted as Girls’ Generation and Sulli debuted as f(x).
Sooyoung is currently playing the lead character of Cha Soo Young in the OCN drama Tell Me What You Saw.
