In a heartfelt interview in the recent episode of “by PDC,” Han Ji Min shared her candid thoughts on the pressures and expectations that come with being in the limelight as an actor.
During the video, Han Ji Min addressed the inevitable burdens of being a leading lady, saying, “But then, we get that much in return. If we do, we need to meet those expectations. If someone receives such treatment but tries to avoid the challenges that come with it, they don’t deserve to be in that position.”
She continued, “There’s no job that isn’t hard. But, especially for someone whose face is known, there are many discomforts. But being recognized is essential for doing this job, isn’t it? The public has to love you. Wanting to live a comfortable life but also wanting to be the leading actor is greedy.”
Han Ji Min went on to articulate her philosophy of embracing the demands that come with her profession, “It’s something that naturally comes with the job. The weight of the work brings equivalent responsibilities. It’s not about ‘It’s hard because I’m the lead’; it’s something that’s natural. And it’s supposed to be. That’s the nature of this position,” she stated. “The desire to show good performance and the accompanying pressure and responsibility are immense. But I think everyone feels similarly.”
