Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won’s upcoming tvN drama Queen of Tears will not air as scheduled in the latter half of this year.
The show was initially included in the official lineup for the second half of the year, with a planned premiere in December as a weekend drama following the conclusion of Diva of the Deserted Island. However, tvN has made some changes to entire Saturday-Sunday drama broadcast schedule, with The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch premiering on July 29th, followed by Arthdal Chronicles 2 in September, Diva of the Deserted Island in October, and Maestra (literal title) in December.
As a result, Maestra, starring Lee Young Ae, will take the time slot originally allocated for Queen of Tears. The premiere date for Queen of Tears has been rescheduled for 2024, with the specific date still under discussion.
Queen of Tears tells the heartwarming and miraculous love story of a married couple portrayed by Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won as they navigate through various challenges and crises.
