Kim Min Seok and Nam Gyu Ri have confirmed to star in JTBC’s new drama, Blood Boiling Romance (literal title).
JTBC’s Blood Boiling Romance is a story about the romance between a South Korean star who has enlisted in the military and a North Korean female soldier.
Kim Min Seok plays Lloyd, a globally renowned singer with a huge fan base. Although he’s a top global artist who crushed all the records among South Korean singers in the twenty-first century, he enlists in the army after being swept up in a conspiracy and experiences a whirlwind of events.
Regarding his new role, Kim Min Seok stated, “I’m so nervous and delighted to play a world-class star character for the first time. I will do my best to convey a character that everyone can relate to and understand.”
Nam Gyu Ri will play Baek Young Ok, the second lieutenant leading the 8th division of the North Korean special force. In contrast to her stunning looks, Baek Young Ok is a square soldier with a cynical personality. Nam Gyu Ri will be performing challenging action stunts by herself and her unique charms as a female soldier in the army.
