DAY6’s Young K will make his solo debut.
According to Newsen, Young K will drop his first solo album in September.
The upcoming album will be full of Young K’s self-composed songs. The artist has been recognized for his outstanding songwriting skills, composing most of DAY6’s songs. Over the past six years, he has registered 139 tracks with the Korea Music Copyright Association.
This is his official solo debut after six years. After passing the JYP’s global audition in Canada, Young K debuted as DAY6’s vocalist and bassist. Since then, he has produced multiple hit songs like “You Were Beautiful” and “I Loved You. Starting with “Sweet Chaos,” he has managed to put all the title tracks on all major music charts worldwide.
Recently, he embarked on his sub-unit activities. In August last year, he formed DAY6 (Even of Day) and once again proved his musicality. On July 5th, they dropped the 2nd mini-album Right Through Me and showed impressive performances.
Attention focuses on what Young K, who once said, “I want to become a singer who sings every moment of life,” will show with his solo debut.
