Jeon So Min and Hong Ye Ji have been cast in the new film by director Mo Hong Jin.
According to media outlets, the film Girl (literal title) confirmed its cast and started filming on the 25th. Girl illustrates the series of events that happen when a 19-year-old girl is imprisoned for an unfortunate accident.
Jeon So Min plays the role of Jang Mi, one of Yoon Young’s inmates. Exuding a cheerful charm even inside the prison, Jang Mi is the mood maker of the cell. The actress will be continuing her big-screen activities following the romance movie The Name, which was released last October.
The title role of “Girl” went to the rookie actress Hong Ye Ji. Despite the highly competitive audition, Hong won the title role, Yoon Young. From pain and scars to hope and healing, Yoon Young will go through various emotions as a 19-year-old girl who feels like she’s standing on a cliff. It is said that Hong impressed the director and staff from the first shooting.
One thing noticeable about Hong is that she appeared on Mnet’s Produce 48 before her acting career. Since Girl is officially the first project to be on her filmography, attention focuses on what she will accomplish.
Girl is the new low-budget film directed by Missing You director Mo Hong Jin. The first shooting began in Paju on the 25th.
