‘River Where the Moon Rises’ Replaces Ji Soo with Na In Woo

On March 2, Ji Soo’s school bullying controversy erupted through a post written on an online community. Ji Soo admitted his wrongdoing and officially apologized through his Instagram. In the aftermath of the scandal, River Where the Moon Rises chose to replace their male lead and shared that “the 7th and 8th episodes will be aired with as many scenes of Ji Soo deleted, and episodes after the 9th will be re-filmed with a different actor,” officially dropping Ji Soo out of the show. And Mr. Queen actor Na In Woo has been chosen as the one to step into Ji Soo’s shoes. And today, the production team reported that unlike their previous statement, Na In Woo will appear from the 7th episode after re-filming and re-editing.

 

‘Seobok’ to Be Released in Theaters and TVING

Seobok will be unveiled in theaters and online video service platform TVING on April 15. CJ ENM’s film business department shared, “With consumers’ views and needs on content rapidly changing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to unveil Seobok via TVING to meet more audience through various platforms.” Seobok, which made headlines for the meeting of Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum, initially pushed for the release late last year but temporarily postponed the release date due to the spread of COVID-19. Earlier, Time to Hunt, What Happened to Mr. Cha?, The Call, and Space Sweepers have been unveiled to the world via Netflix, but this is the first time that a movie chose theater release and online platform release at the same time.

 

Hong Sang Soo’s New Film’ Introduction’ Won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay

Director Hong Sang Soo lifted up the Silver Bear trophies once again with his film Introduction at the 71st Berlin Film Festival. “More than telling a story, or advancing a narration with efficiency, this script fabricates those momentary intervals between one action and another, where, for an instant, a hidden truth of human life is suddenly revealed, bright and lucid,” a jury statement read. Hong was invited to the Berline Film Festival for the fifth time �” Night and Day, Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, On the Beach at Night Alone, The Woman Who Ran, and Introduction. Of them, Kim Min Hee won the Silver Bear for Best Actress award with On the Beach at Night Alone, and Hong took home the Silver Bear for Best Director award with The Woman Who Ran, making this Hong’s third Berline trophies. The movie will be released in Korea in the first half of this year.

 

EXO’s Chanyeol to Make Public Appearance Five Months After the Latest Controversy

Chanyeol will attend the press preview of The Box on March 18.
