The upcoming fantasy romantic comedy Wi-Fi Love in the Palace, starring THE BOYZ’s Younghoon, Luda and Kim Dong Jun, has unveiled its main trailer, teasing a love triangle that connects modern-day Korea with the Joseon era 200 years in the past.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, the film follows Tae Pung (Younghoon), a webtoon artist who has never been in a relationship, as he becomes an unlikely dating coach to So Hyang (Luda), a Joseon palace maid determined to become the king’s concubine.
The trailer opens with a smartphone mysteriously traveling 200 years into the past through a cabinet. When So Hyang discovers the device, she comes face-to-face with Tae Pung on the screen and asks in shock, “Who are you, sir?”
The two soon begin communicating through messages and video calls, leaving Tae Pung stunned to discover that he is speaking to someone from the Joseon era, while So Hyang learns that he lives in the year 2026.
Hoping to win the heart of King Lee Hwi (Kim Dong Jun) and transform her life, So Hyang takes Tae Pung’s advice on modern makeup, perfume and flirting techniques. Her dramatic makeover leaves the king bewildered, prompting him to ask, “Have you been drinking?” Yet despite his confusion, he finds himself increasingly drawn to her.

As Tae Pung guides her love life from behind a screen, he begins developing feelings of his own. “Does So Hyang’s happiness mean I’ll be happy too?” he wonders. Meanwhile, glimpses of So Hyang in tears and a mysterious change to a history book hint at unexpected consequences for the trio.
Younghoon plays the modern-day webtoon artist, while Luda portrays the ambitious palace maid. Kim Dong Jun takes on the role of the Joseon king caught in their unusual love triangle.
The film features Jang Tae Yoo, known for My Love from the Star and Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, as creator, reuniting him with the production team at Greeda Film.
Wi-Fi Love in the Palace is adapted from the webtoon by Joa and Ginyu, which earned a 9.8 rating on KakaoPage and topped its weekly romance rankings. Unlike conventional time-travel stories, the characters remain in their respective eras, connected only through video calls and messages across 200 years.
The film opens exclusively at CGV theaters nationwide on December 2nd.
