Kim Min Ha may spend much of her time on set, but the actress says she is actually “busiest” when she’s at home.
In a video uploaded to Cosmopolitan Korea’s YouTube channel on September 4th, Kim opened up about her daily routine, the small pleasures she makes time for and her upcoming Netflix series Dead-End Job.
Asked about a simple pleasure she always makes sure to enjoy, Kim said her favorite part of the day comes after an evening workout.
“There’s a gym in my apartment complex, so I work out hard in the evening, take a shower, turn on the air conditioner and have a really cold highball while watching a Netflix series or movie I like,” she said. “It’s such a precious and happy part of my day, and something I really look forward to. I think it’s become a bit of a routine.”
Kim also revealed that she is an early riser, usually waking up between 5 and 6 AM.
“I really like sticking to a routine,” she said. “After I wake up, I read the newspaper, go through the scripts I need to read, listen to music, and sometimes just lie there staring at the ceiling doing nothing.”
She added, “I’m busiest when I’m at home. But I think that’s also how I recharge.”
Kim also spoke about Dead-End Job, describing the upcoming series as a mix of “fantasy, thriller, mystery and horror.”
Her character, Ji Yoon, is grounded firmly in reality despite the unusual world around her.
“Ji Yoon is painfully realistic,” Kim said. “She’s someone who keeps trying to stay grounded in reality no matter what kind of world she’s in, and I’ll be able to show a lot of her raw, unfiltered side.”
Dead-End Job is an upcoming Netflix mystery horror fantasy series set around a mysterious employment agency that offers seemingly irresistible jobs paying at least 50 times the usual hourly wage. The story follows Hyuk Joon, a young man who takes on the high-paying work without knowing what horrors await him at the job sites.
The series also stars Lee Jae Wook, Go Min Si and Lee Hee Joon.
