G-Dragon is receiving praise for his quick reflexes after helping a camera director who nearly fell off the stage during BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary concert.

A G-Dragon fan shared a video on Instagram titled, “G-Dragon Good Deed +1: Helped a director from falling off the stage” on August 23rd. The footage was taken during BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary concert, which was held from August 21 to 23 at Goyang Stadium.

While performing, G-Dragon noticed that a camera director filming the show was standing dangerously close to the edge of the stage. Without missing a beat, he reached out with his free hand and motioned for the director to move farther onto the stage.

G-Dragon then gently guided the director away from the edge and gave him more room to safely continue filming. He moved to the edge behind the director and continued singing and dancing as if nothing had happened.

The video quickly went viral. As of August 25th, it had racked up 5.69 million views, with fans and other viewers praising G-Dragon for noticing the danger and reacting so quickly.

“I saw this live. G-Dragon was looking out for the director on the big screen, and then he suddenly disappeared from view. I wondered where he went, but he was actually protecting the director from falling,” one viewer commented.

Another wrote, “It’s so cool that he moved to the side to protect the camera director while he was focused on filming the other members.”

“I’m not even a G-Dragon fan, but I think he’s really cool,” another viewer added.

Others praised his professionalism, saying his years of experience have given him the composure and awareness to react calmly in unexpected situations. Fans also shared footage of the moment from different angles.

The camera director’s wife later joined the conversation, claiming that her husband told her G-Dragon had “saved his life” that day.

“My husband told me that G-Dragon saved his life that day,” she wrote. “The stage is about two meters (6.5 feet) high, and as you know, that part of the performance involves moving forward. He stepped backward while adjusting his camera angle, but he would have fallen off the stage if G-Dragon hadn’t been there. It was a really close call.”

She added, “My children and I are all huge BIGBANG fans, and G-Dragon has shown our family kindness once again. Thanks to him, my husband was able to come home safely.”

BIGBANG will continue its world tour with 33 shows across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia following the group’s Goyang performances.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon recently gave descendants of national heroes and correctional officers a special experience.

Galaxy Corporation announced on August 26th that G-Dragon invited descendants of independence activists, descendants of Korean War veterans and correctional officers to BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary world tour, XX: COSMOS, held at Goyang Stadium from August 21st to 23rd.

The invitation was part of the JusPeace Foundation’s “Hero Recovery” program. G-Dragon personally purchased the tickets and donated them to the foundation. G-Dragon currently serves as the foundation’s honorary chairman.
