Lee Chae Min and Ryu Da In are making their romance Instagram-official in the sweetest way possible.
On September 16th, Lee shared a playful post thanking fans for celebrating his 25th birthday, complete with a cake topped with “25” candles. Born in 2000, the actor marked his birthday the day before. Just two weeks later, on the 29th, Ryu posted her own birthday shot, also holding a cake with identical “25” candles and “HBD DAIN” decoration. Both cakes were from the same bakery, fueling speculation that the couple coordinated the celebration.
The pair has been open about their relationship since photos of them walking together in masks surfaced last year, prompting them to confirm they were dating. At the time, Lee was spotted giving Ryu his coat and carrying her bag, a gesture that melted fans’ hearts. The two first met on the set of tvN’s Crash Course in Romance in 2023, where they both appeared.
Most recently, fans noticed another subtle display of affection. At the wrap party for tvN’s weekend drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, Lee sported a ring on his index finger, while Ryu wore a matching band on her middle finger—sparking buzz about a matching ring.
Lee Chae Min made his debut in Crash Course in Romance and has since gained attention through Netflix’s Hierarchy, MC of the KBS music show Music Bank, and most recently Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Ryu Da In, also born in 2000, debuted in JTBC’s 18 Again and went on to star in TVING’s Pyramid Game. She is currently gearing up for her next role in the SBS drama Awakening (literal title).
UPDATE

Lee Chae Min opened up about his public relationship with Ryu Da In in a new interview with SPOTV News on September 30th. He shared how dating in the public eye has positively affected his work.
He explained that going public with their relationship gives him more passion for his roles, rather than making him feel pressured.
However, when asked about Ryu Da In’s reaction to his projects, he laughed and said they tend to keep their professional lives separate. “We don’t really talk much about each other’s work,” he replied. “How should I put it… It’s a sensitive area, so there’s not much I can really say.”
He also shut down rumors that a recent birthday photo was a romantic “couple’s post,” clarifying, “Honestly, it’s not like a romantic post. What I felt was, ‘Wow, we’re really getting a lot of attention.’ It just hit me suddenly yesterday.”
He explained that the photos, which appeared to show him wearing a matching ring with Ryu Da In, were simply a misunderstanding. “It was just fashion,” he said. “I never imagined there were photographers in front of me. It was just a wrap party where we all went to eat barbecue together. I guess it was my mistake.”
