Younha is married to the famous YouTuber Science Cookie (real name Lee Hyo Jong).
Spotv News exclusively reported on March 31st that Younha held her wedding ceremony at a hotel in Seoul at 6 PM on March 30th. Her groom revealed to be Science Cookie, a well-known science YouTuber with over 440,000 subscribers.
Science Cookie is a former physics teacher turned science content creator who captivates viewers by explaining complex scientific theories like quantum mechanics and relativity.
The couple had a small wedding attended by around 80 family members, relatives and close friends. Singer Paul Kim performed his hit song “Every Day, Every Moment” as the congratulatory song, blessing the couple’s new journey together. Younha, who has always had a deep interest in science, grew close to Science Cookie through their shared passion, which eventually led to their relationship and marriage.
Announcing her wedding, Younha expressed, “I have met a strong and supportive life partner.” That partner turned out to be Science Cookie. He also showed his affection for Younha on social media, posting, “I’m in love.”
Notably, their wedding date coincided with the third anniversary of Younha’s hit song “Event Horizon”, a song with significant meaning in her musical career. On this special day, the couple vowed eternal love, opening a new horizon in their lives.
Younha made her debut in Japan in 2004 with the single “Yubikiri” and started her Korean music career in 2006. She has since become a beloved vocalist with numerous hits, including “Password 486” and “Event Horizon”.
