Fin.K.L is set to resume group activities about 21 years after the members last promoted together as a full group.
Gemstone E&M announced that it is preparing for full-group activities with all four members: Lee Hyori, Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Jin and Sung Yu Ri.
This will mark the first time the four members have officially returned as Fin.K.L since releasing their digital single Forever Fin.K.L in 2005. The group did reunite in 2019 for JTBC’s Camping Club, where they also released a new song, but the reunion was part of the variety show.
This time, the members are planning to continue their activities as Fin.K.L beyond a one-time reunion.
Debuting in 1998, Fin.K.L became one of the most influential first-generation K-pop girl groups. They scored numerous hits, including “Blue Rain,” “To My Boyfriend,” “Eternal Love,” and “Come on Baby Tonight,” while showing their versatility with concepts ranging from sweet and innocent to bold and powerful.
The group dominated music charts and won major awards during their active years, building a strong fanbase and leaving a lasting impact on the girl groups that followed. After Fin.K.L’s group activities slowed down, each member went on to build a successful individual career in music, musical theater and acting. Now, they are coming together once again as one team.
Gemstone E&M will oversee the planning and management of the reunion in collaboration with the four members and their respective companies. The group is expected to show fans a new side of Fin.K.L in 2026, rather than simply relying on nostalgia.
Jason Lee, CEO of Gemstone E&M Group’s Management, said, “Fin.K.L is an artist with great symbolic significance in the history of Korean popular music.”
“We will gradually introduce a variety of activities and create new memories with the fans who have been waiting for Fin.K.L for a long time,” he added.
