Song Ji Hyo got emotional while talking about the underwear business she personally runs.
A video was released on Song Ji Hyo’s YouTube channel on March 5th. While unboxing the Silver Button she received for reaching 100,000 subscribers, Song Ji Hyo shared, “I thought you only got a Silver Button for 500,000 subscribers. When people talked about it, I wondered, ‘Why are they bringing that up?’ But it was for 100,000 subscribers.” She also showed a letter from YouTube CEO Neal Mohan that came with the box.
“This is so cool. We’ll do fun things and share lots of stories as we aim for 1 million subscribers,” she expressed excitedly. Looking at the Silver Button, she humorously commented, “It looks like a bottle opener” and “It looks like a mirror,” drawing laughter from her fans.
She then explained why she started her YouTube channel. “I started it as a way to communicate and show a more natural side of myself,” she said.
Reflecting on some of her filming experiences, she mentioned the ‘Yeongdeok Trip’ episode as one of the most memorable. “We filmed nonstop, like going through an endless maze. At one point, we sat down with the team and seriously asked, ‘How much longer are we going to film?’” She also recalled a difficult babysitting shoot, saying, “I almost got sick.”
The mood shifted when the topic turned to her business. When asked about her underwear line, Song Ji Hyo became emotional and admitted, “I might cry if I talk about it now,” adding, “The products are great, but it’s sad that not many people seem to know about them.”
On the subject of mental health, she shared, “I’m fragile, easily hurt and sensitive. When I’m feeling really down, I rest for 2-3 days doing nothing. I take the time to organize my thoughts, but just for a short while, then I let it go. That helps me feel better.”
