Yeon Sang Ho’s upcoming thriller Colony has confirmed its May release and unveiled its first typography poster.
The film has already drawn attention for its star-studded cast, including Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Been, Kim Shin Rok and Ko Soo. Set inside a building sealed off after a mysterious outbreak, Colony follows a group of isolated survivors as they fight against infected individuals that evolve into unpredictable forms.
The newly released poster offers a chilling hint of what’s to come. The title Colony appears tangled with white, slime-like forms resembling infected bodies, suggesting the emergence of an entirely new species. The imagery also shows the infected moving violently in a single direction, hinting at the intense confrontations and mounting tension between the survivors and the rapidly evolving threat.
Director Yeon Sang Ho has built a reputation for pushing genre boundaries with projects such as the hit zombie film Train to Busan and the dystopian Netflix series Hellbound.
His latest film Colony is set to open in theaters this May.
