Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook are set to lead the upcoming fantasy drama Human X Gumiho (literal title), which will begin production in March 2026.
According to TenAsia, both actors are strongly tipped—and internally considered confirmed—to headline the series. The drama is being jointly produced by HighZium Studio and Contents Planner, with celebrated writer Im Meari attached to pen the script. Im previously wrote JTBC’s The Beauty Inside and tvN’s Doom at Your Service.
Broadcast plans are shaping up with JTBC as the likely home network, while Coupang Play and Amazon Prime Video are in talks to handle streaming distribution—Coupang Play for Korea and Amazon Prime for global audiences.
Human X Gumiho marks the second on-screen collaboration between Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook, following their work together in director Yeon Sang Ho’s upcoming film Colony, which began filming earlier this year in March.
With the powerhouse pairing of Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook, both known for their global fanbases and crossover appeal, Human X Gumiho is already shaping up as one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of 2026.
