Nana is stepping in as the muse for T.O.P’s long-awaited return to music.
According to industry sources on February 9th, Nana will appear in the music video for T.O.P’s upcoming new single, marking his official comeback as a solo artist next month. Filming for the video was completed last year, and the project marks the first time the two stars have worked together.
The appearance also signals Nana’s return to the music video scene. It will be her first MV role since Baek Ji Young’s “Indeed, It Was Love” in 2024.
T.O.P previously teased his comeback on social media on January 1st, writing, “A new album is on the way.” He also revealed the phrase “Another Dimension,” hinting that it would serve as the title of his first-ever solo mini album.
The release carries special weight: it will be T.O.P’s first solo song since his 2013 digital single DOOM DADA, marking a 13-year gap. It is also his first album release since officially leaving BIGBANG in 2023.
T.O.P debuted with BIGBANG in 2006 and balanced music with acting before stepping away from the spotlight following a marijuana conviction in 2017, at which point he announced his retirement from entertainment. He later reversed that decision, returning to acting with Netflix’s Squid Game 2 in December 2024.
While he has drawn a clear line when it comes to rejoining BIGBANG, saying too much time has passed, T.O.P has spoken candidly about why he returned to music. “When I am in the studio, I feel like I can finally breathe and feel alive,” he said. “I have made countless songs, and I believe those songs should eventually be shared with the world.”
With Nana lending her presence to his comeback, anticipation is building for what T.O.P will unveil next.
